چکیده
Detection and separation of metals from fresh water and industrial effluents has become a pre-requisite for any nation in the world. In and around the city of Hyderabad (Sindh), Pakistan, the home as well as cottage industry which consumes chemicals containing the copper, mercury, cadmium and lead are freely dumped into local ravines and canals unchecked for many years. The process is polluting the underground aqueous system and depleting fertile local soil. There are many techniques available to detect these metals, in present work copper, mercury, lead and cadmium as complexes of pyrrolidinedithiocarbamates were isolated from aqueous samples, extracted in methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) and separated by capillary gas chromatography coupled with flame ionization detection (FID) system.

Simultaneous determination of four heavy metal ions in tobacco and tobacco additive by online enrichment followed by RP-HPLC and microwave digestion.
A new method for the simultaneous determination of tin, lead, cadmium, and mercury in tobacco and tobacco additive by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography combined with microwave digestion and an online enrichment technique is developed. The tin, lead, cadmium, and mercury ions are precolumn derivatized with tetra-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)-porphyrin (T(4)-DMAPP) to form color che...

Shrimps are one of the most important seafood sources for humans. Heavy metals accumulated in the body of shrimp can be transmitted to humans in the food chain. The present study was done in 2017 to compare the accumulation of heavy metals Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Tin (Sn), Arsenic (As) and Mercury (Hg) in edible tissue of Indian white shrimp in the fishing grounds of th...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the accumulation of Lead, Copper, Cadmium and Mercury in the soft tissues of brown algae (Sargassum ilicifolium) and muscle of spiny lobster (Panulirus homarus) in a five different stations along the northern coasts of the Oman Sea during pre and post monsoon seasons. A number of 50 specimens of each sample were collected from stations of Jask port, Darak ...

A method was developed for the separation of CdII, PbII, PtII, CoII, NiII, BiIII, CrII, CuII and HgII bis(2-hydroxyethyl)dithiocarbamate (HEDTC) complexes by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography. The complexes were formed by pre-capillary reaction of the metal ions with an excess of the ligand and then separated using a 100 mm borate buffer (pH 9.2) containing 4% methanol (v/v), 10 ...
متن کاملSimultaneous determination of lead, cadmium, copper and zinc in Infant formula by anodic stripping voltammetry
Determination of trace elements in food is of great importance, as some of them have nutritional significance, whilst others are toxic. Long-term exposure to low levels of toxic metals could be important, especially in relation to children. Differential Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (DPASV) is applied to simultaneous determination of lead, cadmium, copper and zinc in dry ash infant formula...
